Registration for Prek-1st Grade Notes in Motion After-School 2022-2023
Dance, Storytelling, Crafts, Drama, and more. 2:30-5:30 p.m. 5 days/week.
Thank you for your interest in the Notes in Motion Dance Theatre’s after school program at PS 63 STAR Academy and The Neighborhood School. Our students learn dance skills, choreography, improvisation, interdisciplinary study, and arts education. Our teaching artists lead instruction with our signature educational pedagogy, the Movement Exchange Method, in which students take on leadership roles in their own learning, have creative input in the design of the curriculum, participate in critical discussions of the work of their peers, and develop collaborative skills. The program fosters self-discovery, risk-taking, and making connections between different topics, themes, and areas of learning. We aim to provide access to the art form of dance to inspire the next generation of dance appreciators.
The cost of this program is $295//month with support from the City Council.
